SOUTH BAY GALLERIA HOSTS PROFESSIONAL CLOTHING DRIVE BENEFITING MEN, WOMEN, AND VETERANS IN NEED

SOUTH BAY, Calif., (September 24, 2015) – South Bay Galleria has announced a collaboration with Designing Women South Bay, a women’s guild in support of Working Wardrobes, to host a Professional Clothing Drive on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., according to Sher Haddon, Marketing Manager at South Bay Galleria.

For this special clothing drive, South Bay community members are encouraged to drop off gently used professional clothing for men, women, and veterans re-entering the workforce.

“By continuing our ongoing partnership with Designing Women South Bay, we will help to provide deserving individuals with the professional clothing they need to jump start their careers,” explained Haddon. “Many individuals within the community have been able to re-enter the workforce with confidence as a result of this special organization and the clothing donated at these clothing drives.”

Suggested donation pieces for both men and women include dress shirts, slacks, dress shoes and suits. Items can be dropped off at Suite 361 on Level 3 of the North Wing. Donations of plus size items, accessories, and purses are also encouraged. All professional attire donated must be clean, in good condition and on hangers.

Haddon continues, “As one of the largest community gathering spaces in the region, South Bay Galleria is committed to providing opportunities for our community members to come together and help one another reach for success.”

In addition to donating to this worthy cause, volunteers from Working Wardrobes’ Designing Women South Bay will be on hand to provide job seeking tips to guests, including resume writing, interviewing, and more.

All of the clothing collected at the October 10 clothing drive at South Bay Galleria will be donated to the Working Wardrobes program, a non-profit organization that has been helping men, women, veterans, and youth confidently enter the workforce for more than 25 years. The organization collects and provides professional clothing to those in need, and also provides various career training as well as job placement services.
